Any individual currently serving as a FULL-TIME POLICE OFFICER and wishing to do a LATERAL TRANSFER should submit their application to Clarksville Police Department.

Benefits include:
*Competitive salary – First Class Patrolman pay 2025: $66,000 2026: $69,000 2027: $73,500
*Generous longevity pay – 1.5% of your salary per year for up to 25 years. Payouts don’t start until 5 years on, so plan on sticking around to get the bonus
*A percentage-based rank differential pay– 5% up to 25% of your salary depending on your rank
*$1 a year family health, dental, and vision insurance
*$3,500 – additional pay for clothing and holiday pay
*Competitive PTO – 7-30 days’ vacation time depending on years of service and over 24 additional days off between sick, personal, and comp time.
*Good retirement/disability benefits – Indiana’s PERF 1977 POLICE OFFICERS' AND FIREFIGHTERS' PENSION AND DISABILITY FUND

The Clarksville Police Department is home to 53 Full Time Police Officers assisted by 18 Reserve Police Officers and 18 civilian employees. The department proudly serves the Town of Clarksville, the oldest town in the Northwest Territory, founded in 1783.
The Town of Clarksville is home to more than 23,000 residents and over 600 businesses.
