Police Officer Of The Year!

Congratulations
Officer Mark Palmer

This is the second time in 2 years that Officer Palmer has been awarded this prestigious badge.  Mark said it shows what dedication and loyalty to his fellow officers and the community will produce.  "This is a great honor and I really can't believe it!"

Mark is a 15 year veteran of the Clarksville Police Department. "I grew up in Clarksville, so being part of the police department and serving the community where my family and friends live is special".

Mark joined the police department in 1990 and has received specialized schooling in several areas of expertise. He is a member of the E.R.T. (emergency response team) and one of the department's snipers.  His favorite roll is that of F.T.O. (field training officer) and he hopes to continue in that field for many years to come.

Mark said he was thankful for all that he has from his family to his career as a police officer, all which have fulfilled his life's ambitions. He also would like to thank everyone that helped him achieve this special award.

In addition to his law enforcement career, Mark served 11 years with the Indiana Army Reserves as a sergeant with 31 Kilo Communications.
