News Release:

Search Warrant Served. Child Pornography Confiscated.

Chief Dwight Ingle announced that the Internet Crime Unit (I.C.U.) of the Clarksville Police Department in a joint investigation with the “Innocent Images” task force of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (F.B.I.) recently executed a search warrant at 707 Yale Drive, Clarksville, Indiana.

Confiscated property included laptop and desktop computers. A wireless internet device and hardware capable of storing video and still picture images.

The investigation originally initiated by the “Innocent Images” task force of the F.B.I. contacted the Clarksville Police Department with information that Child Pornography and other files were stored and being shared via Peer-To-Peer software known as Limewire.

Later it was determined that a 15 year old juvenile living at the residence was the one responsible for downloading and sharing the graphic images and other files.

Child Pornography is any image, drawing, photograph, videotape, digitized image or pictorial representation of a child who appears to be less than 16 years of age that depicts or describes sexual contact by a child.  Child Pornography is a Class D Felony.

Chief Ingle wants to remind all parents that they are ultimately responsible for the actions of their children and should always monitor internet activity.
